Hear from all our placements as we revisit our proudest moments of this year!
With only two weeks left of our placement at ProspectSoft, we’ve all come together to share our biggest achievements over the course of the year.
Marketing:
Issy
In December, I launched my first social media campaign to help boost engagement on our LinkedIn page. The campaign involved a promotional email being sent to our current UK customers, inviting them to follow our page and like a LinkedIn post for a chance to win a £100 Amazon Voucher. This approach allowed us to target the right audience and attract reputable followers who would benefit from following our LinkedIn Page. The campaign ran from 19/12/23-22/01/23. During this brief period, our followers increased from 1,760 to 1,818 — an addition of 58 new followers, marking a significant 133.3% growth. The increase in followers influenced page engagement, which rose by 52%. In our Hootsuite metrics comparison, ProspectSoft was the only page showing a positive trend in engagement throughout December. The campaign was a great success and something I felt proud and positive about.

The achievement I am most proud of this year, is leading the placement recruitment drive from start to finish. I reviewed CVs, conducted telephone interviews, and held in-person assessment centres at the Access HQ in Loughborough. To promote the roles I posted listings on over 80 university job portals. With the support of my manager and help of my colleagues, we were able to increase commercial applications by 41%, from 407 to 574. With an additional 167 applicants, managing this workload was challenging but rewarding! I was also responsible for planning the placement’s Familiarisation Day in May. This involved organising resources and liaising both internally and externally with new placements, colleagues at ProspectSoft, and The Access Group. Observing the recruitment process from a different perspective has made me feel very confident about approaching career opportunities in the future.
Sales:
Yamin
I think my best achievement was when we were able to attend numerous different networking events at the Access offices. I was able to network with lots of different people within the company, all experts in their various fields. It allowed me to understand the requirements of distinct roles and opened my eyes to the different opportunities available within the industry. Talking to professionals also strengthened my communication skills and has made me confident in my ability to take advantage of networking events in the future.

The biggest achievement for me this year has been winning the Summer Sizzler competition. This was when I created the most self-generated sales opportunities in a set period of time. From the beginning of the year I feel I have progressed so much in not only my ability to sell effectively, working in a corporate business environment, but also in the confidence I’ve gained. This is something I will carry with me, to wherever I end up in the future.

My biggest achievement at ProspectSoft would have to be completing my FlightPath. This consists of seven calls with customers helping them to set up their CRM and train them in using the system. It’s something I had been working up to since the start of my placement and I remember being very excited and nervous for my first ever call. Having the trust from my manager to carry out the calls was something that gave me a lot of motivation, and I remember an overwhelming feeling of accomplishment when I finished my first ever FlightPath!
Project Management:
Jamie
My biggest achievement was managing a key internal technical project. This is my biggest achieve because as the Project Manager, I collaborated and effectively communicated with managers, technical consultants, and alongside other cross-functional teams. I was individually responsible for co-ordinating and allocating each task to each consultant to ensure we met the deadline. This involved documenting the project’s process to maintain the project timeline efficiently. Additionally, I supported the team by helping with the technical side by running SQL scripts and gaining a greater insight into the technical aspects of CRM. The responsibility to handle this project also provided me with valuable experience working with the broader Access ERP team. As a result, the team completed the project within the deadline, and I was recognised for my input throughout the project.
At ProspectSoft, we’ve all been lucky to have met so many wonderful managers and colleagues, attended corporate events, and been part of fascinating projects. Our experiences have strengthened our skills and will help us at university and in the working world.
