Overview

Looking to get real experience in all aspects of Marketing on your placement year? Then ProspectSoft’s Marketing role is not to be missed!

In the Marketing team, you’ll be encouraged to show your creative side when completing projects such as blog writing, creating infographics, developing content for our websites, and much more! As a Marketing Assistant, you’ll have the opportunity to get involved in a variety of projects, including the delivery of direct and digital marketing communications.

Reporting to our Head of Marketing, you’ll have a hands-on role and make a real impact on the business. Whether it be managing social media content across our company and placement platforms or generating new strategies to increase the number of qualified leads for our Sales team, you’ll develop a strong understanding of B2B marketing and will gain valuable skills in both inbound and outbound marketing. Marketing efforts will be centred around online lead generation, with a real focus on attracting and converting high quality leads via several marketing channels.

Some of the things you’ll be doing

Social Media

Managing ProspectSoft’s corporate and placement social media platforms, you’ll have the opportunity to run social media campaigns, developing and repurposing written and visual content to engage our audiences across all social media channels to support conversion activities.

Email Marketing

Whether it be developing email marketing campaigns to drive up the number of new business enquiries or developing educational material for existing customers, there’s plenty to get involved in! You’ll also be proofing and writing content, building targeted lists and reviewing campaign results.

Copywriting

You’ll be tasked with writing informative SEO copy in the form of blogs, and may even have an opportunity to write eBooks. You may also support in the writing of product updates, like new feature announcements and how-to articles for existing Prospect CRM users. Keeping up-to-date with industry best practice competitor activities will strengthen your skills here.

Design Content

A Marketing placement will take a lead role in generating visual content for both our corporate and placement channels, such as creating brand compliant banners, infographics, and diagrams. You’ll be required to use Adobe software like Photoshop and Illustrator when producing design work (but don’t worry if you don’t have much experience with these yet, although it’s a bonus if you do!).

Video Content

Using programmes like Camtasia and Adobe Premiere Pro, you can get involved in creating, editing and enhancing videos, as well as scripting and storyboarding videos for us to use in our comms!

Digital Event Organisation & Co-ordination

Supporting our Head of Marketing, you'll have a lead role in supporting any online events ProspectSoft runs or takes part in, including cross-sell webinars with partners.

Website Management

You’ll be given the responsibility of preparing, developing and maintaining our corporate and placement websites to ensure they’re always up to date and engaging to our audiences. This will involve you developing new and captivating content, as well as delving into Google Analytics to gain key insights about our traffic like lead attribution.

Award Applications

To stand out from the crowd and showcase the amazing functionality and features in our software solutions, we like to enter in for product awards each year. In this role, you’ll be developing these applications, adhering to any guidelines set by the judges and shouting about our successes!

Recruitment

There will be the opportunity to be selected as the next placement recruiter for Commercial roles. This will involve you managing the entire recruitment process end to end; from reviewing CVs and cover letters to booking and conducting Telephone Interviews. You’ll also be responsible for organising and running our Commercial Assessment Centres!

HubSpot & Google Certifications

Boost your marketing knowledge by undertaking industry-accredited certifications, like HubSpot’s Inbound Marketing Certification and Google Analytics courses…ideal to add to your CV!

Managing the Customer Database

Having access to accurate data is an integral part of our business and, as a Marketing placement, you’ll be given the responsibility to survey and cleanse the data that circulates our system so it’s fit for purpose. By cleansing and adding crucial information to our customer database, you’ll be directly contributing to the success of marketing campaigns and various departments from the Sales team to the Service Desk.
